De Ateliers is an international institute for talent development of young visual artists, founded in 1963 by artists, for artists. De Ateliers offers some twenty young and emerging artists a studio for two years in a professional working environment, and the intense mentorship of prominent colleagues.
During the fourteenth edition of Offspring, the yearly presentation of the second year artists, we present you The Well.
The Well is a radioprogramme organised by participants of De Ateliers in collaboration with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee. On June 1st and 8th we hosted shows with special guests, readings and music related to De Ateliers, live from De Ateliers.
1 June, show 1:
Martin Herbert interviewed by Xander Karskens, Piotr Urbaniec with a series about the sinks at De Ateliers, A reading by Mark von Schlegel and a song by Aunt Lucy, presented by Minne Kersten and Leo Arnold.
1 June, show 2:
A presentation of the first issue of Snooper magazine ‘On Tunnels’ with a song by Ominira, a conversation with Jacqueline De Jong and Snooper readings by Becket MWN, Sara Księska, Frederick Worm and Rosa Sarholz. Interspliced by audio contributions by Thomas Swinkels and Clara Hausmann.
8 June, show 1:
Jacob Dwyer presenting an excerpt of his new radio play, a reading by Clémence de La Tour du Pin, Henna Hyvärinen interviewed by Paula Förster and a mixtape by echo + seashell. Presented by Anders Dickson & Rustan Söderling.
8 June, show 2:
An audio work by Inas Halabi, Piotr Urbaniec's Intonarumouri live sound experience, Sam Hersbach reads a poem, music and jingles by Chris Evans. Presented by Anders Dickson & Rustan Söderling.
