Ritual and Display
If I Can't Dance, I Don't Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution
If I Can't Dance, I Don't Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution presents a Radio Emma broadcast on the occasion of the launch of their sixth reader 'Ritual and Display'. This publication explores the tensions and crossovers between ritual and display through notions of preparation, magic, landscape, bodily writing, feminist thinking, prophecy and contemporary performance practices.
Guests are Giulia Damiani, editor of the reader; Kent Chan, artist and contributor to the reader; Bhanu Kapil, poet and contributor to the reader; and Joris Kritis, designer of the reader series. Hosted by If I Can’t Dance’s director Frédérique Bergholtz and curator of archive and research Anik Fournier.
For those who are in Amsterdam; feel welcome to join the radio broadcast and a toast after at the If I Can't Dance Studio, Westerdok 606–608.
