Khamoosh participated in Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee's radio residency in Autumn 2023. During this time, Khamoosh reflected on and researched previous ongoing projects that initially started from a trip that two members of Khamoosh had made to Gouran village on Qeshm Island, located in the south of Iran. For Khamoosh’s broadcast, pantea, one of the members of the collective, made a sound collage of different layers of their conversations, questions and intimate moments with the layers of the recorded sounds from Gouran.

“the amplification of the sound of the wind alongside the coast,
conversations murmured softly while planting,
the muffled squishing sound of the mud while planting the trees,
the clapping of the hands coming together before starting the ceremony,
and the rhythmic sounds of the community singing together.”
